As president of KPE, Dr. Temte oversees and leverages assets, capabilities, and talent across Kaplan’s global footprint. Based in La Crosse, WI, KPE maintains operations throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong SAR.
In addition to his current role, Dr. Temte has served in the following professional positions: Dean of Kaplan University School of Professional and Continuing Education, Interim President of Mount Washington College, and President of Kaplan University College of Business and Technology. Dr. Temte started his professional education career in 1990, working with Dr. Carl Schweser to build Schweser Study Program into the leader in CFA exam review. Under his direction, Kaplan Schweser became a leading global provider of innovative, efficient, and effective financial education solutions.
Dr. Temte earned his doctorate in finance from the University of Iowa with a concentration in international finance and investment theory. He holds the CFA designation and has over 14 years of university teaching experience in the areas of university teaching experience in the areas of corporate finance, investments, and international finance.

Andrew leads the global Beyond-Exam business in Kaplan. He believes that every person should be given the chance to develop both their technical and behavioural skills necessary to thrive in the workplace. His intent is to offer developmental experiences that build commercial acumen and that are role-relevant and organisationally contextualised by using appropriate diagnostics.
He is an advocate of democratisation of learning coupled with learning governance through large scale L&D projects. He re-joined Kaplan, after 10 years, to head up the Kaplan’s Leadership and Professional Development unit in January 2015, after spending 10 years rebuilding and running a leadership development business (IDG).
As commercial director of IDG, Andrew led successful bid teams for large global development programmes for UK and overseas clients such as Barclays, HSBC, JP Morgan and Zurich. Under Andrew’s leadership, the company grew significantly in a recession hit economy.
Prior to joining IDG, Andrew was Head of Financial Markets at Kaplan Financial for over 3 years. During this time, he oversaw the delivery of exam based training for CFA, SIE and IMC. He also helped to develop high level CPD programmes for large investment banks.
He is the former CEO of a FTSE training company and has over thirty years of commercial experience in building and leading businesses. He has written numerous articles for financial publications, delivered technical lectures in over 20 countries and has served on several committees at the ACCA.

Dave has been a training consultant with Kaplan since 1997. He heads up the Commercial Awareness faculty within the Kaplan Leadership & Professional Development team. Dave specialises in delivering finance and commercial awareness solutions to non-financial audiences. He also manages a number of strategic relationships including overseeing our work within the UK public sector.
Dave is a certified on-line facilitator (COLF) and has extensive experience in the design and delivery of both face-to-face and on-line solutions.
Dave is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), having qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse where he specialised in audit. He then moved into an accounting role within a Corporate Banking team, before moving into the Learning and Development arena.
Initially, Dave focussed on delivering technical training to support students in obtaining a variety of professional finance qualifications before moving into broader professional development solutions. He has now delivered programmes to audiences across all levels around the globe. He works closely with our clients to ensure that our programmes are highly commercially relevant, engaging and designed to achieve sustainable business improvement.
Dave has been at the forefront in developing our diagnostic capabilities, including our “financial literacy” tools as well as a number of strategically significant business and commercial acumen surveys.

David is celebrating 25 years of experience in the field of training, development, and organizational effectiveness. His broad range of accomplishments include development of 75+ programs and 30+ feedback instruments in organizational performance improvement, leadership and professional staff skills training, sales and customer service training, and adventure training for leadership and team effectiveness.
Prior to establishing Gilman Performance Solutions (GPS), David was a manager in the training departments of Salomon Brothers, Prudential Relocation, and GE Capital. He also held training positions with the SCM Corporation and NYC Transit Authority. GPS clients benefit from his extensive experience in internal corporate training, which enables David to bring this important internal perspective to GPS projects and programs.
David has facilitated over 100 team building sessions for company presidents and their staff through intact department and project teams. David has led sessions for numerous groups with over 300 attendees.
Previously, David has served as the Assistant Regional Director for the American Society for Training and Development and as President of the Society’s Westchester Chapter. David holds an MBA in management and organizational behavior and a BA in business and industrial/organizational psychology.

Dr. Denise Federer is an experienced speaker, consultant, coach, and psychologist based out of Tampa, Florida. She brings over 30 years of experience working with individuals, executives, and corporations, and over the past 20 years has built a successful private practice utilizing her extensive cognitive-behavioral training and expertise in communication styles, performance enhancement, and motivational strategies for behavioral change and organizational impact.
Denise has been involved in both large and small scale projects, including pre-employment assessments, behavioral analysis of department procedures, and implemented programs to impact individual and organizational change. Her clients included Allianz Life Insurance, American Funds, Bank of America, Coldwell Banker, Dreyfus Investments, Evergreen Financial, Fidelity, LPL Financial, Natixis, American Express, Pershing, Prudential Securities, Russell Investments, South Trust Bank, Sun Bank, Sentinel Investments, and Raymond James.
Denise received her BA in psychology from the Honors Program at the University of Michigan and her PhD in clinical psychology from Nova University. Before joining Kaplan in 2015, Ian spent over 20 years lecturing in Leadership and related subjects at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, as well as teaching for the Open University. He has also taught with the Open University and was a visiting Lecturer with CASS Business School.
He has designed and delivered senior leadership and executive programmes for a range of clients. Clients mostly, but not exclusively, from the financial services, including Legal and General, AON, Barclays, RBS, Centrica, British Sugar, and the Financial Conduct Authority. He specialises in using leadership development and strategic thinking to drive organisational change and performance.
As Head of Applied Behavioural Science at Sandhurst, a department he established in 2007, Ian trained military officers and senior officials in over 20 countries, including Sierra Leone, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Colombia, South Africa and Indonesia. As well as spending over 20 years lecturing in Leadership and related subjects at Sandhurst, Ian worked in strategic policy and planning in Whitehall for the Ministry of Defence between 2002 and 2007.
As Head of MOD’s Media Training, he helped establish the Defence Media Operations Centre, developing measures of reputation for the MOD as well as developing plans to communicate key initiatives and writing speeches for senior officials to order.

Jo is a facilitator of learning with 25 years’ experience of working in large global organisations. She established her own organisational development consultancy with a focus on leadership and management development, performance and talent management. Before then, she was a business analyst, a project and programme manager in Financial Services and Financial Services Regulation.
Her expertise has been built working closely and for a long time with large financial services clients, a central bank, pensions organisations and regulators and technology companies amongst others.
Jo always bases any learning in the participants’ world and is skilled in managing diverse audiences, using a facilitative style to engage, support and challenge those she works with. She is as comfortable working with Executives as she is with those starting their careers and has facilitated both graduate programmes and executive strategy events as well as more ‘traditional’ learning topics.

Mira is a bilingual trainer and consultant with over 12 years of experience in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
She has delivered customer service and management training for JW Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Renaissance and Marriott Courtyard Hotels. She was the leadership assessor, designing assessment frameworks, recommending training needs and delivering leadership development programs for HSBC, Barclays and the Royal Bank of Scotland. She also managed the Middle East office helping grow the business in Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE.
She has designed and delivered the Bahrain Crown Prince International Scholarship Programme, and the KAFD Jordanian Youth Leadership Programme. Managed a three year Graduate Development Programme for ALDAR, and delivered leadership training for Middle to Senior Managers in Jordan’s Civil Service, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of labour and General Investment Authority (SAGIA). Other key clients include the Civil Service in Abu Dhabi, the Ministries of Health, Transportation, and Education, as well as Barclays, and HSBC in the UK, Lithuania and Hong Kong SAR, China.

Rahul has more than 11 years of experience in the area of macro-economic research, equity research, investment banking and training.
He has been teaching financial modeling and investment banking courses in UK, Singapore, and the MENA region.
He specializes in financial analysis, equity valuation, Financial Modeling and exam prep trainings. His experience as a practitioner allows him to deliver practical and industry relevant courses. He also trains for a number of professional qualifications, including CFA, CMA, and CISI (IISI & ICWIM) programs.
Rahul is an Economics graduate, a CFA Charterholder and a CMA. He also holds the CISI certificates for International Introduction to Securities & Investment and International Certificate in Wealth & Investment Management.
Rahul is the Associate Director & Product Head- Financial Markets & Modeling of Kaplan Genesis.

Simon joined Kaplan from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where for six years he was a Senior Lecturer in the Communication and Applied Behavioural Science Department.
In training officers from across the British Army, Simon designed and delivered experiential learning courses on the psychology of leadership. These courses focussed on the practical application of core behavioural concepts, namely: resilience, motivation, personal impact, negotiation and decision-making.
A highly energetic and engaging consultant, Simon has worked with global financial service providers, major retailers and oil and gas businesses in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He has extensive experience in designing leadership programmes, building High Performing Teams and creating a values based ethos.
In the final year of his PhD, Simon has extensively examined decision making in challenging environments. He is deeply interested in why individuals and groups, under extreme pressure, make erroneous and at times deeply unethical decisions. As a consequence he has lectured extensively, in the UK and Bosnia. He has also delivered a variety of leadership, media and conflict based courses to senior officials in 16 countries, including, the DR Congo, Kuwait, Bosnia, Indonesia and Tonga.

Dr. Tim Smaby is Vice President of Advanced Designations for Kaplan Schweser. Tim joined Kaplan in 2002 as the manager of the Level 2 CFA study materials. In his current role, Tim oversees product management and content development for the CFA, CAIA, and FRM product lines. Prior to joining Kaplan, Tim was an associate professor of finance at Penn State Erie.
He has also held various positions in the banking industry with Bank One in Cincinnati, Ohio, and First Republic Bank in Dallas, Texas.
Charterholder and has also been awarded the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation. He holds a PhD in finance from the University of Cincinnati, an MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin, and a BS in economics from the University of Minnesota.

Vishal has over 12 years of experience from which around 6 years have been spent in the corporate world. He started his career by advising clients in foreign exchange risk management after which he moved into the treasury of Adani Enterprises Ltd., one of the largest companies in India where he spent close to 4 years.
He then moved into Education field as a full-time trainer – an area he is very passionate about, with one of the leading academic institutions in India 5 years ago. As an academician, he has taught finance related subjects in prominent programs such as CFA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, CMA & CS. He has also been invited as a visiting faculty for finance by various premier universities.
He is a CFA charterholder and has Bachelors in Commerce from Gujarat University. He also holds a M.S. (Finance) from ICFAI University.

Yasir is Associate Director & Product Head of Accountancy & Taxation courses at Kaplan Genesis.
He has more than 15 years of teaching and training experience. He has taught cost and management accounting, taxation, financial management and business strategy papers of the ACCA and CIMA qualifications to hundreds of delegates in Pakistan, Mauritius, KSA and UAE.
He is best suited to deliver the new ACCA paper ‘Strategic Business Leader’ as he has been teaching Paper P3 (Business Analysis -now part of SBL), Paper AFM (Advanced Financial Management) and Paper APM (Advanced Performance Management) for last 10 years.
He has facilitated countless delegates in passing the CIMA case study exams. His diverse knowledge and relevant experience gives him a unique advantage in delivering training for the CIMA strategic level exams. He can tailor the delivery to mature audience and with high focus on passing the exams.
